Spring Fever

As the seasons begin changing we have this hidden nature that drives us towards the warmth and new life that Spring brings. Pushing aside the blah and draw of the final weeks of winter, we open up to Spring Cleaning and fresh new ideas.

With this comes a great opportunity for businesses to introduce new life and excitement into their websites and social media presence.

Here is 10 simple ways to freshen it up & put some spring into your website:

1. Blah Imagery

Replace images that are seasonal or appear dull in appearance. Spring is a season that is full of vibrant colors and brings the mindset of “out with the old and in with the new”. Try using some newer images with a little splash of colour.

2. Give Your About Us/Bio Page a Facelift

This page is one of the most important pages in your website. However with many of us website owners, it’s the page we never update or couldn’t really care less about. Try to update some of your content on this page by taking some new mug shots or updating your achievements. You might be surprised how outdated this page has become.

3. New Testimonials

If your website offers a list of testimonials, updating these can be a good idea. No ones will think your company is on the up and up when your most recent testimonial is two years old.

4. Test It Out

Over the years/months items on your websites can stop functioning due to  computer upgrades, software changes, website revisions or just because they are broken. It’s always a smart idea to test your forms, links, and features of your website. You never know that you are missing leads until it’s too late.

5. Promo Train

Consumers are always looking for the special deal, package or new product. This is the perfect time to showcase something new you can offer to create a few extra sales.

6. Organize the Lists

We are always collecting new email lists, Twitter followers, Facebook likes and contacts. Organize these lists by clearing out all the bad content and determine how you are going to market to each group.

7. Social Media Strategy

Analyze how you are doing with your social media. Are you performing well? Are you generating new leads and contacts? Are your numbers growing or have they slowed down? If you’re not getting the results you’re looking for then restructure or contact us to see how we can help your meet your target goals.

8. Search Engine Presence

Search engine rankings are constantly changing. Last month you may have a really great placement and now you have slipped. Test it out using the major key words and see how you are performing. Changing a few simple items could possibly boost or bring your desired ranking.

9. Growth Marketing

Plan for upgrades and changes. A website should always be evolving, new ideas, new pages, new products or services. Draft a plan for the rest of the year of how or what you are going to change and develop. Maybe you have never tried email marketing or blogging, this could be a great time to bring new ideas into your online presence.

10. Make It Rewarding

Never look at updating your online presence as a problem or hassle. If you end up viewing it this way you will end up with poor results. Your passion needs to be involved in the process for you to reap the rewards. If you are not comfortable making changes then contact someone who can assist you and make this process more enjoyable.
